South Africa Master Franchise Licence
ERA Group – the world’s leading franchise in cost and supply management and winner of Global Franchise Magazines’ “Best Business Franchise 2018” – is looking to further expand our international network through the acquisition and development of the South Africa Master Franchise Licence.
If you’re an experienced and motivated professional or entrepreneur looking for a high-performance business opportunity with the support of an international network, then we would like to speak with you!
A Brief History of ERA…
Fred Marfleet founded ERA in 1992 and began operations in the UK after noticing that very few consultancies offered expertise in the reduction and management of overhead costs within the SME sector.
Since its inception, ERA has continued to demonstrate exceptional year-on-year growth and has established itself – over 25 years – as a market leader within the white-collar franchising industry.
Once a simple concept that started from humble beginnings, ERA now operates in 35 countries with more than 650 franchisees worldwide forming a highly-qualified network of international business professionals.
The ERA business later expanded into Australia, New Zealand, USA and, in 2007, Europe. Thanks to an extensive knowledge of overhead expenditure and an international yet consistent business approach, ERA’s services can be relied upon all over the world.
ERA’s global development plans continued in 2016 and 2017 with the expansion of our Latin American network as franchise licences were awarded to professionals based in Guatemala, Colombia and Peru. Combined with the already established Brazilian and Mexican networks, the development and continued expansion of ERA LATAM is looking very exciting as we head into 2018.
For the next phase of ERA’s global development plan, we are interested in growing the ERA business in Africa through the sale and development of the South African Master Franchise Licence.
South Africa Planning for SME Growth in 2018
Small and medium enterprises (SME) should prepare to take action and plan for increased growth in 2018. That’s the view according to the latest survey from Business Partners Ltd which measures the attitudes and confidence levels of South African SME owners.
The survey highlights how confidence among SME owners that their businesses will experience growth in 2018 has risen to 64%, the most substantial increase recorded since the index was launched in 2012.
“SMEs need to start planning to grow their footprint, as well as their production capabilities. This may involve bringing in new skills into the business, hiring more staff or acquiring additional infrastructure”, explains Ben Bierman – Managing Director of Business Partners Ltd.
“Business owners should also look at their balance sheet to ensure that they have the capital available to expand when opportunity knocks.”
ERA's Value Proposition
ERA franchise partners have the expert knowledge required to analyse every market – no matter how complex it is. Thus, they can offer their clients the best solutions available.
Our public and private sector clients include businesses, hospitals, municipal authorities, schools, charities and non-profit organisations. They also include some of the world’s most successful companies and brand leaders.
Nevertheless, the majority of our clients are SMEs and turn over between €2 million – €250 million per year.
Operating within the mid-market represents an area with most opportunity and least path of resistance to implementation for ERA franchise partners as companies of this size are unlikely to posses the same level of industry knowledge in each of the different areas of cost.
Furthermore, our approach to clients is financially risk-free. Our franchise partners work on a success basis meaning that their remuneration is solely based on the cost savings achieved.
With this business model, ERA can enhance the professionalism of the services provided while also building strong partnerships with our clients based on mutual trust and transparency.
The fact that so many of our clients entrust us again with further projects is a testament to the success of our approach.
Firstly, Ask Yourself the Following Questions...
1) Would you consider yourself to be entrepreneurial or do you have a strong desire to be self-employed?
While the Master Franchise Licence represents a fantastic business opportunity, we are looking for a certain type of professional who has the collaborative mentality to succeed under the support of a franchise structure but the motivation and drive of being self-employed.

The price of the licence is €100,000 (which includes the right to operate your own ERA franchise in parallel). In return, you would receive income through the sale of new franchise licences within your region, ongoing royalty from your franchisees’ yearly income and income made through the operation of your franchise business.
4) Can you speak and write in English?
At its core, ERA is a collaborative business. The value of our service lies in the ERA network and methodology which allow franchise partners – from all over the world – to collaborate on projects, focus on areas of the business that they enjoy or specialise in whilst leveraging their colleagues’ expertise. This approach is the direct result of a universal and methodical way of operating, one of the contributing factors being the ability to communicate in a common language – English.
